Philippi Trust SA in partnership with the Desmond Tutu TB Centre have opened non clinical HCT (HIV /Aids Counselling and Testing) site's at the following locations below.
The HCT Centre team of nurses and lay counsellors do free TB and HIV testing and counselling amongst other additional services.

Pre Test Counselling:
During the pre-test counselling, we provide HIV/AIDS, TB and STI information and also deal with expected emotions and prepare clients for the test result, both positive and negative results.
Testing:
Finger prick testing is done by the nurse, a small drop of blood is needed. The Rapid test is used, providing results within fifteen minutes.

Work towards their dreams
Empower themselves
Take responsibility and prevent re-infection or infection if negative
Take control of their lives.
Post Test Counselling:
The results of the test are given to the client by the lay counsellor. The lay counsellor provides emotional support to the client. A follow up counselling session can be arranged or a referral given if necessary.
